10 things I should have added to my baby registry as a second-time mom. Yup, I’m a mom of two now and realized that the second time around, it’s been a lot easier just to plug my baby into our lives and not use so much “stuff”.
And it’s ok to have these things the first time around because you don’t really know exactly what the baby needs and what you’re comfortable with.
We see so many tips, gadgets, and items that are suggested on gift registries that it can get overwhelming. And like a confused first-time mom, you start thinking to yourself…”where do I begin??”
Just so you know, I’m very practical, and minimal so the things I’ve added to this registry is everything I need to go throughout my day.
There are links in my post where I’m able to earn a small commission if you decide to purchase at no cost to you.
Check out this list of 10 things I should have added to my baby registry as a second-time mom.
- Beco Gemini– My cousin suggested this amazing carrier! I had a different brand with my daughter and it was super confusing and felt very uncomfortable. This carrier was easy to put on, comfy and my baby was snug right in! I wish I had this the first time around! It was helpful to put my son in it while I was helping my toddler and this carrier saved me plenty of times while I would be cleaning, making bottles, and doing walks.
- Dr. Brown Formula Pitcher– I didn’t know about this formula hack until I was on Tiktok and let me tell you…..GET IT. You can store baby formula for up to 24 hours and by having your formula premixed and stored in your fridge is heaven sent. All you have to do is add the appropriate water, formula and mix! Then you’ll have an entire day’s worth of formula and don’t have to make each bottle individually which could take up time.
- Portable baby warmer-So I think this must be a new thing because when I go out, every mom and dad would tell me they wished they had this when their kids were small! It’s great for when you need to warm up your baby bottle on the go and its rechargeable!
- Baby bottle warmer with heater temp control– I really love this bottle warmer at home as it uses air to warm up the bottle. You can also use your frozen breast milk in a bag to defrost it too! It also keeps the bottle warm for 48 hours (although that’s long) but it’s nice to know that it’ll keep it warm even if the baby isn’t ready to drink just yet.
- Munchkin bluetooth baby swing– this swing was so easy on the eyes to put in my house and my baby loved it as a newborn. It has music to make the baby sleepy and I like that it also comes with a remote where you can change the swing settings from a distance.
- Freshly Picked Women’s diaper bag– This bag is hands down my most favorite diaper bag. It’s so roomy, can fit EVERYTHING and has pockets to store all that you need. I also like how the way it opens from the top where you can easily access anything you need. It’s comfortable to wear and has extra straps to hang on your stroller. They have multiple colors and the quality is A+.
- Dr. Brown Natural Flow baby bottles– I’ve used these bottles with my daughter and they never gave me a problem when feeding. They are recommended by other parents and pediatricians too!
- Baby Shusher– This is a must for those endless nights when you get out of breath from “shushing” for an hour. Let this baby shusher do it for you and your baby will hopefully fall asleep! Both of my kids loved this thing and its portable too so you can bring it anywhere. And bring it out when the baby is crying uncontrollably.
- Breast milk cooler bag– You can keep formula or breast milk in here and the ice pack that comes with it stays cold.. I’ve taken this bag out on a trip for 8 hours and the cold pack is still cold for my milk.
- Portable stroller fan– I live in florida so this is definitely a must have/need for the baby. Especially in the summer, this thing will blow real air!
